Flood Relief Camp:  Due to unprecedented heavy rains, water entered the village for the first time inundating not only low-lying areas, but also submerged the internal roads of the village thus blocking access to the Main Road.

People from low-lying areas were dislocated. They lost all food materials and could not operate their kitchens for more then a week and took shelter in Schools & Library. ANNA has rushed to the rescue of effected people and provided “Anna Daanam“ for three days.

Eye Camp: An eye camp was conducted with the cooperation of Rotary Club of Gudivada. Dr.P.Visweswara Rao, with a team of Doctors and technicians camped at newly renovated Hospital Building (by ANNA) and examined the patients.

75 People were prescribed for spects & 26 people for cataract Operations. ANNA has distributed the speets and medicines free of cost, mobilized the patients to the Vuyyuru Rotary Hospital for Conducting Operations by providing Transport & Other facilities. Sri T.V.V.S Prasad, Vice President, Angaluru panchayat has organised the entire operation efficiently.

All expenses were borne by Sri Yerneni Jagan Mohan Rao in memory of his mother Vrushamani, under ANNA’s Banner.


Inspiration:  Inspired by the ANNA’s activities, an NRI from Angaluru origin came forward and created a trust, entirely financed by his own funds, to adopt poor students, educate them and inculcate Good leadership, morality & Character Building amongst them. The students are selected from the unaffordable poor, who studied in Govt schools up to 10th class with merit and cannot pursue further education due to financial restrictions. There is no upper limit for studies. Pilot Project started with 15 students (one student from one village), with the intention of increasing the strength to 40-50 students, next year onwards.
